The Kenai Fjords National Park cruise was spectacular! The captain and his crew were outstanding and and the salmon and prime rib buffet was superb!
We saw mountain goats, harbor seals, puffins, orca whales, hump back whales, a black bear and bald eagles. We visited Holgate Glacier where we witnessed calving and sailed by Bear Glacier. There were photo ops galore and I took 1,835 pictures - thank God the days of film are long gone or I’d have more spent on pictures than the trip!
The crew retrieved some ice from the glacier and were selling Glacier Margaritas (don’t ask how they tasted because we did not partake.)
This has definitely been a highlight of our trip!
